¿Qué se hace con los restos de la vinificación?

La empresa jerezana Skinwine ha propuesto una alternativa a su eliminación: utilizarlos para elaborar cosméticos. Esta compañía ha lanzado, recientemente, una línea de productos de belleza naturales derivada de los desechos que genera el proceso de elaboración y crianza del vino de Jerez.

Los hollejos, o pieles de la uva, pueden mejorar la apariencia, ya que con su trituración y posterior tamizado, entre 100 y 300 micras, se consigue un exfoliante capaz de limpiar la piel en profundidad.

Los turbios y parafangos del vino se emplean como mascarillas y en la realización de masajes. Incluso las precipitaciones tartáricas, unos cristales de bitartrato potásico que se forman en las botellas de los caldos blancos y rosados al someterlas a bajas temperaturas antes de su estabilización, se filtran y se aprovechan en forma de mascarillas. Gracias a su elevado contenido en alfa-hidroxiácido regeneran las células de la piel.
